I posted here a month ago? Asking about placement & such.
I have 12 biological children (3.5 year old Identical Twins (girls), 6 year old Identical Triplets (boys), 7 yos, 9 yod, 11yos, 14yod, 15yos, 16yod, & 18yod)
A couple thing's have changed since i sense posted; the biggest being we Added 6 more dc to our family (4 yod,6 yo boy/girl twins, Almost 9yod,11yos & 13yos) !
My neighbor (more like a friend) passed away from Cancer & her husband passed away too (he committed suicide

), the didn't/don't have anywhere to go, so they are living with us and we're in the process of adopting them.
A couple other things..
My 18 yod is engaged & expecting. My 11 yos wanted to do school during the summer, so i got him ACE. And he flew threw them. (the 7th grade one's)
This is we're everyone is academically now: 2 8th Grader's, 2 5th Graders, 6 2nd Graders, 3 Pre-Kers
I've gone back and fourth of *what* to do with them. I've changed my mind 4 times!
I eventually ended up back to HOD for the 2nd Grader's (BLHFHG), And for the 8th Grader's (Rev To Rev)!
Now I'm back to HOD for Everyone!
I'm going to be using; LHTH, BLHFHG, CTC, & Rev To Rev! And I'm excited!
Thing's have been pretty crazy, and will continue to be so (planning a wedding

), 18 yod having the baby, etc, etc. It's essential to use something open & go! I'm thinking this year will be great

Sounds like you will be very busy, but 4 guides should be manageable for your crew! I'm so glad those 6 children have a loving home to come to after loosing both their parents. My heart aches for them! I hope they are adjusting well and able to handle the grief. I'm thankful they have your family to land safely in!

Wow oh wow!! I'm praying for ya, mama. With your ages, it really does sound like HOD will be a good fit this year. Your oldest 2 should be pretty much independant (except for questions and such) and the 5th graders will be mostly independent too. Good thing you have a large group doing one guide, BLHFHG, I think that will really work well. We just started Beyond this week, and I've really enjoyed it. I know y'all will have a great year.

Those poor kiddos! I can't even imagine how hard that would be for them, but how fabulous that you were willing to take in all of them and give them a stable, loving home. It sounds like you've got a busy time coming up, but that it will work out really well. How exciting to be using HOD for all of them! I'll bet that once you get in a routine, your days will go super smoothly using HOD. You're right, it is so open and go that it makes it so easy to use. I hope you have a really fabulous school year.

That's a LOT of blessings. Your heart must be full (and energy tank empty).
Can any of your olders take over one simple subject with a younger? Such as an older taking over science instruction with your littles?

My older's help a lot, but not take over any instruction. They have their own School work, and many, many, many other things to do! I will post my schedule on the schedule thread as soon as I make it if anyone wants to see it
And thanks

WOW! That is awesome. And it is so great that you did not see yourself as not being the one to take in more kids. That is wonderful!

Praying all your new children adjust well and praying for their loss. How wonderful they are part of your family. Looking forward to sharing HOD with you.
Welcome back!

I am amazed that you are able to accomplish so much! You are an inspiration to me. I thought homeschooling two kids with a toddler was a challenge. I am blessed just reading your post.

There is very strong evidence that this poster is a troll.
He / she has already been banned at several other homeschool sites for posting fantastic stories (tons of children, large houses, pregnant teenagers and the like).
Just wanted to send out a warning!
Also look for the posting names Anna Marie, Katherine A, Diana R, Lauren R, and Mom in Michigan ... which this person has been using.
All of this has happened within the past few weeks -- I guess it's a bored teenager with nothing else to do over the summer.

I was about to post this same thing. Please do not respond to this person. She has been banned from another board I frequent under several different names. I will be reporting this post to the Admin here just incase no one else has.

No I hadn't reported her! I'm rather new to this board myself and wasn't quite sure how to go about it!
Thanks!
