I will be using Beyond with my girls this fall. The grammar lessons in it are perfect for my younger DD, but my soon to be 3rd grader covered much of it last year using CLE Language arts 1, so I was thinking of using R&S English 2 with her.
I see that that is used in Bigger, and I was wondering how it is scheduled. Is there a separate set of plans or an apendix that I could purchase to help me know how to schedule it - or should I just plan on doing one lesson per day?
Using R&S English with Beyond?
Re: Using R&S English with Beyond?
I'm doing Bigger and it looks like one lesson a day (2 page spread) until unit 34 where it says copy a poem everyday. I don't think you'd need a schedule for it. I'm only a week in, but I haven't been looking at the pages assigned. I just open it to the next lesson. HTH!
Laura, mommy to Christine (1-02), Nicole (5-03), both doing Bigger, Everett (4-09) and Alister (9-10)
Re: Using R&S English with Beyond?
My dd used Level 2 with Beyond, Level 3 with Bigger, and will be doing Level 4 with Preparing. She is combined with her younger brother, and he does Grammar as scheduled in the guide. So she does a level "up" from him. She is also a level ahead in Math. We do one lesson a day for Math and English, and that has worked out so far.

Re: Using R&S English with Beyond?
I have the CTC guide and it has plans for R & S 4 or 5. At this point the pace of book is slowed down so that you do 1/2 the book each year because you only do 3 days/week of R & S book and some lessons are longer so you do 1/2 a lesson. The CTC and up guides have a lot of grammar and writing in other formats so that is why you do 1/2 the book and only 3 days/week. R & S levels 2 & 3 are a lesson/day in their guides. IMO I would do a lesson a day as written in guide unless it becomes too much and then slow down as needed and if there are long lessons I would take 2 days to complete. Ideally you don't want to spend too long each day on a lesson (threads archived in HOD on length/day of each subject I don't know offhand).
