Is there a schedule to use Ignite Writing if we are using DITHOR?

Using Ignite Writing with DITHOR?
Re: Using Ignite Writing with DITHOR?
Tammy,
There's not a schedule for that anywhere. If you're using a HOD program, then you will not need to add it. HOD has all the Language Arts scheduled for you in the guides. You will be covering spelling/dictation, narration, writing, grammar, and DITHOR will be your literature/reading instruction.
For those who are using DITHOR but not a HOD program, HOD carries and reccommends a writing program and grammar programs to help round out your LA coverage. If this is you...maybe someone here who has used Igniting Your Writing can share how they scheduled it for the year. I've not seen it, so I will be no help to you there. Sorry!

Re: Using Ignite Writing with DITHOR?
When we did Igniting Your Writing, we did a 3-day per week schedule and just did the lessons in order (one per day it was scheduled). Some of the lessons are really simple and there were times when I had my ds expand his lesson by going on with the intermediate and advanced levels as well.
Kathleen: When my older son attempted to do Bigger as a 5th grader, Carrie suggested we also add Igniting Your Writing to round out the program for his age considering the lower age for which the guide was originally written. I think that is another instance when you might want to use it - even if you use HOD as your core program.
