Can extensions be scheduled in the day b/f the main program?

I'm putting together my schedule for the fall, and I'm having trouble fitting in my son's time to do the Bigger extensions after we do the main part of Bigger. Is that going to be a problem if he does the extensions before we do the main Bigger reading together? If so, maybe I could have one day behind in the schedule. So that we'd do Unit 1 Day 1 on one afternoon, then my son would do Unit 1 Day 1 extension the very next morning.

Any thoughts?

Thanks! :D

I don't think that would be a problem. Many of the extension books are historical fiction books that correlate with the history time period you're studying - kind of like the "storytime" box in Preparing on up. There's not a rule that says you have to do the boxes in a certain order in the guide. I'm guessing that you could have him do the extensions and then go over the follow-up when you're together with him for the rest of your together part.

Thanks, Ladies! That will make scheduling easier if the extension reading and work can be placed anywhere in the day! :D

I agree with everyone. When my son did the extensions he did them first, they were his favorite part.

I'm so glad everyone agrees on this. (It's good to have one less thing to be concerned about!) :D
