Last year, as I considered ordering Bigger Hearts, I posted some questions on this board. I just want to say "Thank You" to all the ladies who so kindly answered my questions, welcomed me to the boards, and gave me encouragement that I really needed. I was so discouraged up until that point. I had homeschooled for 3 years, and each year I tried a different curriculum because I could never find one that I thought was a good fit for my DD. HOD was an answered prayer for us. My daughter blossomed using Bigger Hearts for our 3rd grade curriculum. Who would have thought that a 9 year old would love learning about Thomas Edison and the Wright brothers? Singapore Math was also a good program to help with her math skills. I no longer feel as if she is struggling in math. Even better, she is so confident in her abilities to do math. We are so pleased with what she has learned this year. I was also happy to hear that a high school curriculum is being written. We plan to stay with HOD all the way through to graduation!

I'm so glad you found a great fit! We're about to start Bigger and we're so excited! I hope our yr is just as wonderful!

That's fantastic! I'll be using HOD right along with you - all the way through. I'm so glad you enjoyed Bigger Hearts - we did too! We have 5 weeks left to finish after summer break, and then we'll be on to PHFHG. We'll have to share our years together here! I want to thank you for sharing your story here. This board is such an encouraging place to come - and your post just proved that.

We just had a very successful year using Bigger as well. We are moving on to Preparing Hearts and I can't wait to dig into it!

Yay! We too are enjoying Bigger. And I felt the same way you do after our first year with HOD. Such a relief to have that, "this really is going to be okay!!" revelation after going through mediocre (at best) years. We have just started our 3rd year with HOD, and still have that feeling
