DD8 as really done well with reading the books from Bigger and for DITHOR. At first she wasn't sure about. Today she told me that she likes the new way of doing things. She has even started to pronounce bigger words on her own, still some help from me but not as much as before. She also likes the notebooking and painting. I have added more paining projects into the week because she likes to paint. Now she is painting Columbus's three ships with land on each side of them.

At first I really thought the math would be a bit easier for her in the begining but she still struggled. The cards have helped and also through out the week my parents have helped her with it. It's the 10 more than 47 or 20 less than 32 is what threw her off. Also I am having her do it w/o writing it down. Trying to get her to visualize (sp) the numbers in her head which is new to her.
Now for my 4 year. Today he told me the Letters A-H and wrote them. Just the capitols. Some of the sounds were wrong but he's getting it. Some of the letters were backwards but written so nicely for a 4 year old. He was so proud of himself. Then he started telling me about the ABC tape and told him tomorrow I will make some ABC roads for him.
My 3 year old was looking at my laptop and going ah ah ah A, ca ca ca C. She gets the sounds better than 4 year old. Her handwriting is still wayoff. I did the flour in a pan. She still needs practice. My son don't like the flour in the pan, maybe if I tell him to have his cars make the letters he'd do it.

I just wanted to pop in and say this so far has been one of our best weeks of HSing in a long time. I also asked for patience and stability so I think that is working too.
Still have a listening issue and temper with son but hopefully that part will get better but for lessons, it's going well.
