we're all homeschool moms here

You could easily use this with multiple children though! Many of the activities even involve more than one person, and you could easily do them with multiple students instead of child and mom or child and sibling. I'd ask Carrie, the author, about the permissions with the copyright first. I know others have used it in a Sunday School setting as well.

It seems to me that this curriculum would work very well and is well suited for the classroom setting. Carrie was a classroom teacher before homeschooling, so she could probably help you a lot with this. I know DITHOR has things to do specifically for classes, so I think HOD would be great too.

Welcome to the HOD Board!

I used LHTH in a church setting and loved it. (We've also used it with our 3 sons homeschooling and loved that too.

). I think "Little Hands to Heaven" and "Little Hearts for His Glory" would be the guides you could use for those age levels. Have you seen the first week of plans for each of those guides? I think that would help you visualize the day well...

Do you have all day preschool/K, or is it by AM/PM groups? That could make a difference in how you'd plan it out. HTH!

thanks everyone. well my order came in. So excited. Well then I will be the first to post how it goes in a all day preschool classroom. I taught at a Montessori school for 15 years so I love to teach hands on one on one or small groups and not with alot of paper. So I think this will work great. My staff and I will review it together on friday and then plan out our year. I will keep you posted.

I have also used LHTH in a church setting and LOVED it. The children really enjoyed it, and I did too. I was using each unit in one day, though, and each class was only 1 hour long, so I had to miss out on a lot of the great activities with the kiddos, but they still got a lot out of it. It was such a sense of accomplishment for them when we finished and I had alphabet books for them, and number books. We had a lot of fun with it.
I think you could easily use either LHTH or LHFHG in a classroom setting and it would work well. I do think you'd need to modify some things, but it should definitely be doable. Please let us know how it turns out. I think it's a great idea and I hope it works out well for you.
