Doing Beyond this year with my 7 year old has really increased his interest in reading/reciting poetry. He is constantly trying to make up poems and say them to me. But tonight, he came to me and said, "Mom, I wrote a poem." He handed it to me and this is how it went (I am going to keep his original spelling as he wrote it

Marching All Day
Thier marching all day,
Battles to save,
Lots of poeple have died,
Lots of tears have fallen,
The army is callen -
-(like callin' I think is what he meant 
)
There on a lead,
There's victory!
Everyone's happy again.
