LHFHG and Emerging Reader set?

Please forgive me for being repetitive as I'm sure this question has been asked before. I tried a board search but had no success.
Does anyone use the Emerging Reader set with LHFHG? How would one do that? If I used the ER set in LHFHG then what would I use in Beyond?
Thank you for your help!

We didn't do the ER books with LHFHG, but from what I recall from other threads, if you use the ER books in LHFHG, then in Beyond you would go to DITHOR. I believe you will need the Beyond manual to do the questions for the ER books. I'm sure someone will be along to give you more detail on this. Many have done it.

we started ER halfway thru LHFHG with my son and then just started reading program, using books Carrie suggested ,after finishing ERs part way thru Beyond.
We started DITHOR but then switched to something i put together. We won't finish quite all of the genres while in Beyond, but it doesn't matter we just continue on. i did already have the Beyond guide before finishing LHFHG so i had the ER schedule in the appendix to work with.

We started the Emerging Reader's Set with my middle ds halfway through LHFHG and enjoyed it so much!

It was just perfect for him because he happened to take off with his reading. I go the Beyond manual and the Emerging Reader's Set books from HOD, and we were set. Usually with the ERS, you only get 1 of the 2 Bibles, but I went ahead and got both from them, just because I wanted to stretch the ERS out a bit to let my ds grow into the comprehension questions part of it.

If you do this, it adds around 9 weeks or so to the reading I believe. When we finished the ERS, we got "Drawn into the Heart of Reading Level 2/3" package and the Level 2 Book Package to go along with it. We eased into DITHOR half-speed, having my ds read from his DITHOR book a little one day, and then finish the reading the next day while doing the DITHOR plans. This worked great! I've used DITHOR for many, many years with my oldest ds, and it is an awesome reading program! I think you'll enjoy both the ERS and DITHOR. HTH!
In Christ,
Julie

I also used the ER's with LHFHG. In fact, we started the year with them, since my middle son was already reading well when we started LHFHG. We finished them before the year was out, so we moved on to another reading curriculum that I happened to have used with my oldest son. This coming year we will do BLHFHG and will do DITHOR.

Thank you! DD will be doing Bigger this year and I just saw online that the ER schedule is included in the BHFHG appendix. Yay! DS can do LHFHG and use the ER schedule from dd's Bigger.
