We are finishing up LHFHG this week. In history we read, "The End of the Story" (His Story), stating that at the end of history, Jesus Christ will return to earth again. He will come as the King of Kings. All people and nations will bow before Him and proclaim Him as Lord! The Book of Life will be opened. Everyone whose name is written there will be with Jesus forever! We then read some verses from the book of the Revelation. I've always loved Revelation 5:12 which says, ".......Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honour, and glory, and blessing." What a way to end 'His(S)tory'! It was very refreshing for dd and myself to focus on Heaven and the wonderful things that the Lord has in store for His children. Thanks again, Carrie, for keeping the Lord as the heart of all that dd learned this year. We're looking forward to Beyond!

Bigger ends in a similar way in that we looked at the end of Revelation for our Bible time. I really liked that. It seemed like a fitting end to focus our attention on Jesus Christ and His return. Congratulations on finishing LHFHG!

You should give a "spoiler alert" or something. Lol!! It just makes me all the more anxious. We are really enjoying our time with HOD.

Mercy - I did think of that. Sorry if I spoiled it for anyone. There is so much good material in LHFHG all the way through. I'm just giving a tidbit. But, I guess it would be like hearing what happens at the end of a book before you read it. Just don't tell the kids. Then the last days of LHFHG will be enjoyed by all. Although we should all know how history ends, I get excited when dd starts talking about Heaven. I'm just so thankful that she has that awareness and HOD just helped to make it even more real to her. Again, sorry if I said too much.

Well, I prob should have known by the title of the post...I would have clicked to read it anyway. Who could resist? LOL! I am forever thankful to Carrie for LHFHG having such a beautiful platform for Jesus to move upon my daughters heart. There is nothing more important!

That is the only HOD program I have missed. If only I found HOD just a little bit earlier we could have done it all. It sounds absolutely wonderful! I knew it would be. That is a wonderful ending and a wonderful place to begin with a child to guide them to a relationship with Jesus.

water2wine - Even though dd had already prayed to be saved at a CEF day camp, I know that what was taught in LHFHG could lead children to receive Christ as their Saviour. It was a very good foundation for my dd, not only academically, but spiritually as well. I know she has grown because of it.

Yeah!! Thanks for sharing that! This is some good motivation to push forward. We are about to begin unit 26 and I have been debating on whether to stop short and finish in the fall or push through. Who knows what we will decide? But this little tid bit makes it very exciting.

LHFHG has really raised my ds's spiritual awareness. He has really learned so much. I work so hard at getting our dc to THINK as Christians, and LHFHG has helped in so many ways.

I'm just popping in late to say I'm praising the Lord with you that you're done with LHFGH! I agree that the guide ends with what is most important and that is being ready for our Savior's return! We pray that our kiddos will strive each day to live their lives for His glory and that we will also strive for that too!
