Little Hands devotional?

Post by Kristen » Sun May 15, 2011 2:58 pm

I was going to order the LHTH package for my soon-to-be 4 year old, which we would probably start in the fall. Although he loves "doing school" so we may start earlier. :D Anyway, as I looked at the packages on the website, I noticed the devotional for his age "Teach Them to Your Children" is not listed. It is listed in my current catalog. Has it been discontinued? or replaced with something else? I noticed the age 2-3 and 4-5 packages have devotionals listed, but the age 3-4 package does not. Can anybody help with that?
Thanks,
Kristen

The "Teach them to you children" book is new this year. My DD has used both of the other devotionals and I think the ABC bible verse one would be fine for a 4 year old. Someone else might know about the new devotional on the website though.

I saw it on the website a few weeks ago, so apparently it was taken down since then. If my memory serves me correctly, it was put up when one of the other devotionals was out of print, but that is no longer the case. The two that are currently listed are the ones scheduled in the LHTH guide, whereas "Teach Them to Your Children" is not. We own (and have used) both current devotionals and I don't think you could go wrong with either of them. We're actually using both right now with my 4yo dd. :)

Thanks, ladies, for your input on the other devotionals, but my question is maybe for Carrie or Julie. When I go on the website to order the age 3/4 package it does not come with a devotional but is the same price as the other two packages (age 2/3 and 4/5) which do come with a devotional. Have you just not updated the website yet? Does it actually come with a devotional? It doesn't seem that two levels would have a devotional and age 3/4 would not. Maybe I'm just not seeing it.
Thanks,
Kristen

Kristen,

I'm sorry I am just seeing this now, as I am striving to get caught up on the board from being gone too much! Teach Them to Your Children has just gone out of print. It's amazing how things come and go, isn't it! We originally began carrying Teach Them to Your Children to replace My ABC Bible Verses, as it was unavailable for awhile. But, now it is available again. So, we are back to offering two choices, either Big Thoughts for Little People or My ABC Bible Verses. :D

Blessings,
Carrie
