Question about Bigger

Hi all

I have a question about all the books with Bigger, and I just keep getting confused, so I figured all you wonderful ladies can help sort out this crazy brain of mine.

I hope I can articulate my question well enough. Here goes.....

I am considering using Bigger with my bookworm 3rd grader. She's a great reader and I was actually in many ways ready for Preparing, so I am planning to use the extensions, but where I am getting confused is that some of the books in the extension pack are also in the deluxe book packages.....for example Ben and Me, which is in the classic set (I assume for the Biography) and in the Extension package. This also occurs for "By the Great Horn Spoon" There might be more, but those stand out as I glance over it.

Now, I'm sure these 2 books are great, in fact I know one is cuz we've read it, but dd is fine reading again, tho 2x in the same year might be overkill.

So do I swap these Genre's out for something else in the Deluxe pkg?? Its fine to say yes, as we have like bunches of these books we want to read, but just making sure I'm on the right page.

Sorry, this question is probably pretty dense sounding, and perhaps it will sort out when I get my book, but I am just "confusled".

Thanks so much!

Kelly

Yes, if you're doing the extensions and the read alouds, you'd just use a different book for those genres in Storytime. :D Some books are just so awesome, they were put in a couple places. Not very many, but there are a few. "Ben and Me" is a biography, and "By the Great Horn Spoon" is adventure. Here are links to each of the Storytime packages, so you can see which titles could be subbed in...

With HOD's new substitution policy, you can sub in a title and still get the great package savings too. HTH! :D
