I have 5 more weeks left of LHFHG. Do you think if I school every Saturday and double up on days I could finish before the end of May. We have a conference the first of June and I would like to be finished. I was going to just take that week off then just do the last two weeks after we get back but now my son has to have his tonsils out the week we get back.
I don't want to rush it but he will finish all his workbook work before we go anyway so we would just be doing my reading part.
Thanks,
Do you think this will be too much?
Re: Do you think this will be too much?
It's possible. You'll have to decide if it seems like too much. I know there are many ladies here who stop teaching a guide with a few weeks left in the guide. Then in the fall when they start back up again, they just pick back up where they left off. This helps them start their year since it is familiar for the first couple of weeks. I know how you feel about wanting to be finished before conference. That's my goal as well. After I go to conference, I typically want to be done with the year. Last year though we still did a week of school after conference and it was fine. I guess you have other issues so you probably really want to be done. There are still 3 1/2 weeks left in May and you have that 1/2 a week in June so that really wouldn't be rushing too much.

I guess I'd try it and see.
If it's too much, I'd get as far as you do, and set it aside to finish at the start of next school year.
I have prayed your ds's getting his tonsils out goes well too. I can see why you'd want to stop by then.
