I hope I am not pestering you!!
I am just wondering if you have a plan of how you will focus future volumes? Do you plan on doing geography in each volume, or all in one volume? Will their be a focus on missions at any point? That sort of thing. I know it is early, this just crossed my mind.
Thanks muchly!!

Tagging on here....

Do you know yet what spines will be used for the future volumes? (or at least ones that you are considering?? )

Thanks for the link! It does help! I could always just throw in my own missions or take one year off from HOD if I wanted to cover it thoroughly. Thanks!!

Here are some good missions resources. We've used them at night before we read the Bible as a family. Sometimes I'll read a bit to the kids, but nothing scheduled.

-Christian Heroes: Then and Now - about 30 books, each one focused on a different missionary.

-Window on the World or Operation World: each two page spread is about one country, the history of CHristianity in that country, and how to pray for the people there.

I have a few others, but I don't know where they are published. Sonlight is a good resource for missions material. I'm not a SL fan, but I love many of the books they have.

ladies,

I think the link that inHistiming posted will help some with the questions.

We haven't nailed down the spines yet for future volumes, but do have a pretty good idea. I don't wish to be evasive, but until we pray over them and feel a peace with how each program comes together, I don't feel strongly enough about the choices to put them out there.

I am confident that we will be using a mix of the spines that are out there and will not be staying within one series (as each series has its strengthes and weaknesses). In order to capitalize on the best of each available option, and to change things up to keep it fresh, we will be using varying history and science spines through the future volumes. Throughout the 4 year cycle, we will be most likely be using some combination of Christine Miller/Guerber, Memoria Press Famous Men, and some of Foster. We may also use some Baldwin and are considering Marshall. At this point, we will not use Hakim and will not use Story of the World (except for volume 4 which we may consider for the last history cycle). :D

Blessings,
Carrie
