Ok,

So as I look at what to order....I have a few questions.

If I am planning to order the basic, but want the extra readers then I would order the deluxe package too. Yes, or does one order EITHER the Basic OR the deluxe. (Please don't make me choose between all these great books!)

Plus then I order DITHOR and separate readers for that - yes??

Is this correct??

Are you looking at using Preparing? For that you would want the basic package that has the read alouds that you will read to your dc. The deluxe history package is for the dc to do independently. Both are scheduled in the daily plans and we'll be doing both here. So you will get to enjoy all of those great books! For DITHR you'll want to get one of the DITHR books packages or choose your own books. You can find those items from the DITHR packages page: http://www.heartofdakota.com/drawn-into.php At the top of all of the packages pages (except DITHR), there is a light bulb that you can click on that will guide you through what to order. Hopefully that will help.

Hi Kelly! Patty did a great job of answering your question here. Have you had a chance to click on the "Helpful Tips on How to Order" light bulb yet? I'd love to help you out with any further questions you have - just be sure to share the guide you are looking at using. The packages offer big savings and flexibility, but they take a bit to figure out at first. Once you've done one year of HOD though, they pretty much all follow the same line of thinking and it all just makes sense then. I'll check back to see what you found out!

But yes, it its Preparing that I am considering after much prayer and discussion with my husband.

I will likely start out 1/2 time or may wait til fall all together. We were planning on just doing botany this summer and some great reading and solidifying our math facts. We school year round, but I like summers to be lighter. We live in northern Ohio so nice weather is at a premium here, and I like to take advantage of days that are great for nature walks. and such.

I did check out the light bulb - that help a lot! THANKS!
