Preparing Project: Engraving Wk 31 Day 2

Post by mamanlait » Wed Apr 27, 2011 9:14 pm

Would someone help me out on this History Project. I'm just not "seeing" what we are to do. Does dd draw with a toothpick over the black paint/glue mixture that's painted on the page and somehow use the sketch in the project or is the sketch from Day 1 just a guide for her "engraving". My brain is totally not connecting with the directions -- I'm sure it's a simple project, I just can't visualize it.

Thanks a bunch!
Amy

Yes. Day 1 is their "rough draft" of sorts. Then Day 2 they will use their sketch from Day 1 as a guide to "draw" in the glue/paint mixture. (so they know what they are "carving" into the mixture instead of starting an idea from scratch) I am sure someone has a picture of their child's final product, but hopefully that gives you an idea.
I've done all the guides now with at least one child and still feeling the HOD LOVE. LOL!

OK...I was making that project way too complicated.
Thank you!
