are we supposed to reconstitute the powdered milk to make 1 cup liquid milk? i did. i also made triple thinking i would need more if using with three kids. i think we have enough for snack all week. i wish i had known about how many kids it woul d serve using the amt in original recipe. i should have known better when original called for 1 cup Pb. wasn't thinkin'.

We loved eating this playdough on graham crackers! I say "we" because I ate my fair share too. Our kiddos used the leftovers to sculpt some other creations, but ultimately, we ate it. :D Enjoy your edible playdough - mmmm! I wish I could come over and help you finish it off - I bet my boys would help too.

Hmmm, maybe you could roll some into balls and dip in melted chocolate!? Yum! :D

I think it is supposed to be dry milk, not reconstituted. That's how we did it and the dough turned out the right consistency for forming the grasshopper. I have the tendency to sometimes think that hands on activities are not that necessary, but I've gotta say, experiments like this in HOD have been very worthwhile. I'll never forget which part is the thorax, nor how many eyes a grasshopper has! :)

We loved doing this one too. Any food activities are always winners here. We just used the powdered milk as is too and the consistency was perfect. We loved eating the extras. It is very similar to a peanut butter ball that I make and dip in chocolate for the holidays. I'm sure it will freeze well too. So you can save the leftovers and have fun for a really long time! :D

Oh, I missed the reconstituted milk part - we used powdered milk, and that gave a good consistency. Here is Riley's from a year ago...
