We started HOD in Beyond  This is not the first time my older boys have wanted to be a part of what we are doing in Little Hearts, the boys are 8 and 10. Thanks Carrie for writing a curriculum all my children LOVE! :D

How fun that the older dc are realizing the things that they didn't get to cover and want to hear about it! When I look at some of the pictures on the Week in Review board with my dc, they are sad that they didn't get to do LHTH. It's wonderful that all of the programs are so great that our dc don't want to miss out on any of it! Lucky for your older dc they can listen in with their younger brother. :D

I love that our dc share things with one another throughout the day like this. I think they have a common interest in the amazing people they are learning about through history, science, Bible, etc., and that draws them all into each other's learning so beautifully. :D I remember reading facts about people like Ponce de Leon in school growing up, but the people never came to life for me like they have with my dc within HOD, and because of that, I promptly forgot them after the test. In contrast, our dc have such a heart and mind connection with the people they are learning about - this is such a better way to learn than I had growing up. I'm so glad your dc enjoy sharing with one another and spending their days learning through HOD! Thanks for sharing! :D

In Christ,
Julie

Michelle,

I shudder when I think of what I missed in my education, history-wise! I have learned so much along with my kiddos. :D What fun for your older kiddos to be overhearing and enjoying the younger kiddo's readings! :D Good living books are good books, no matter what the age. :D

Blessings,
Carrie
