Bigger in 4 day week?

I am considering using Bigger Hearts and CTC in the upcoming school year, and have a question regarding the scheduling. If I'm not mistaken, Bigger schedules a five-day week. We school four days a week, and join our homeschool co-op on the 5th day. This put us in a pinch using MFW Ex-1850 last year; this year we have arranged a four-day schedule using my own plans mixed with Sonlight. I'd really like to use HOD next year, but I wonder whether anyone's been able to make a four-day week work using Bigger. Can anything be doubled up during the week? Would this make the workload too heavy? Anything be left out without harming the program? Suggestions appreciated.
Thanks and blessings,
Aimee

We did Bigger Hearts 4 days a week this year, along with RTR for my oldest and LHTH for my youngest. We are planning on taking our summer break and then finishing up Bigger Hearts after that. I did that with LHFHG and Beyond with my middle ds, and I actually really like it. It is kind of neat to start the school year with one new guide for my oldest, and come back to a familiar guide with my middle ds. Eventually, I'll probably get my middle ds on a guide a year 4 days a week, but for now this has been perfect. :D Oh, and we have done the same with my little guy in LHTH. We started LHTH half-speed with him when he was almost 3 yo, and now he is in Unit 25 of it. We will just pick it back up with him after the summer break, and go full-speed at that point. It has taken me YEARS to be this flexible, but our dc are doing so well, and this pacing it what fits us best. I'd encourage you to take advantage of this flexibility of pacing, and just enjoy Bigger Hearts one day at a time rather than trying to cram 5 days into 4. It's just not necessary, and dc need time for those skills to grow anyway! HTH! I think you're going to enjoy HOD so much - it has truly blessed our homeschooling immeasurably.
