Ordering question

Does HOD have a sale at any time?

Or offer any kind of payment plan, such as splitting the cost up in 2?

I placed an order in the shopping cart and without the math/english/DITOH it was already over $600.00!! I have my own math. But would still have to get DITOH and R/S English. Even buying it used will still add at least another $75.00.

This was the economy package with state/signers, Science, and History readers. YIKES.

With JUST the economy package and science it was over $500.00!!

We are planning on using Rev to Rev. But I am not sure it is going to be in the budget((sigh))

With the economy the way it is, I really do not think this is going to be possible without some kind of payment arrangements or a sale. My DH will pitch a fit if he sees I need to spend almost $700.00 on school for one child.

There aren't any "sales" that I know of, but you can get reduced (as in $10.00) or FREE shipping depending on the size of your order. :D I consider that a generous discount!

I know some people have divided their orders in half, purchasing the "first semesters" books, and then reordering the second portion later in the year.

Hope that helps.

Edited to say, welcome to HOD. I'm sure you'll have a wonderful year!

The good news is most of it is non-consumable, so can be used again in your family or re-sold. I know that doesn't help with the initial outlay of money but it will help in the future. :D Do you have anything from past years you can sell? That's what I have to do to purchase new curriculum. Or perhaps you can get some books from the library?

Since I am new to HOD I do not own anything except our Math. And our LA if we decide to stay with it.

I am going to look around at our library and see what they have. We do not start our new school year until September, so I have some time to save up.

I really want to use HOD, but I am hoping I can afford it. :(

(HUGS) I understand. Really. I know it is a good size chunk at once. I think many of us here are in the same financial boat. I do figure that the amount spent increases as the child ages, so I try to prepare myself for that each year. I also try to remind myself that private school would cost much more, even public school isn't really free. I know those thoughts do not help the money appear magically, though. I hope that you can find a way to make it work. :)
