Science question

I am wondering how everyone likes Our Father's World science for 1st grade. I recently bought the Answers in Genesis science curriculum for 1st-8th grade but I'm wondering if I should return it and use the science that LHFHG comes with? I really love AIG and know that the science curriculum is great but if Our Father's World fits in with everything else and is a good Biblical curriculum I will probably use it. Anyone use a different science or should I stick with what comes with?

I think the book itself is pretty light. It's a very gentle nudge into science. The activities Carrie has in the guide are lots of fun. My son loves them. To me, they're the real science. Please know, as the guides get more advanced there's a lot more science to them. Right now, we read lots of science books together, usually during non-school time. I wouldn't say it's supplementing HOD, just enriching. Plus, my teen loves reading those kind of books to his little brother.
I really like the looks of the AiG books. From what I read, they're good for just reading together, even without the activities. I don't know, however, if they'd be too much as you get into later guides. We're currently doing LHFHG and adding the very short bit in the AiG books wouldn't be anything. However, as we get further in the HOD guides the more there is in the AiG books, so it might be too much. I don't see wanting more by the time we get to Bigger since it's full of good science books.
Sorry, I think only you can decide if you want to add them in- maybe do them over the summers or on non-science days??
