I have two questions regarding spelling in Beyond and Bigger:

1) Are the spelling activities scheduled in Unit 1 of each guide the same in rest of the units, or is there some variance?

2) I see in Unit 1 of Beyond and Bigger that Beyond schedules a day for reviewing words that need practice, while Bigger does not. I know that Beyond schedules spelling 4 days per week, and Bigger 3 days, so is that review day always the reason Beyond has one more spelling day scheduled, and Bigger has no review days besides the review weeks?

I'm bumping this in hopes of a reply, and have reworded it a bit in hopes of further clarity.

I have been watching and waiting for your questions to be answered along with you. I asked a similar question, since I am trying to find out if spelling is connected at all to the year it is placed.

1) I haven't used Beyond, but if I recall correctly, there is variety in the spelling reteaching activities in Bigger, though there is a familiar flow each week as to studying the words. I would assume Beyond is the same way, but hopefully someone can give you a more detailed answer. If you read pages 11-12 in the intro pages to Beyond http://www.heartofdakota.com/pdf/beyond ... -intro.pdf and pages 14-15 in the intro pages of Bigger http://www.heartofdakota.com/pdf/BHFHG- ... -07-11.pdf that may give you some idea as well.

2)In Bigger, I think there is one less day to balance out with the fact that there is grammar daily rather than once a week as in Beyond, and also the addition of other written work in the guide that isn't in Beyond, such as notebooking pages and lab pages.
