My daughter and I are having so much fun with the watercolor instruction in CtC!! It is such a good balance with the other daily assignments. It really brings the poem to life each week. We love art here at our house so we are just havin' fun!!!! My daughter is really enjoying working with professional grade watercolors!

I love to hear about "fun"!
Isn't it great when you do school and have a great time!

Yes! We love them too. So easy and beautiful, and they add such an artsy facet to the program.

This has been a huge hit this year. My dd joins us each week and my ds loves that she does something with us. I haven't told my ds that he doesn't get to do watercolor paintings next year in RTR. He will be crushed and I think my dd will really be upset. I have also see the skills he is learning carry over to other things and he is just much more interested in artsy things in general than he was before this year.

Glad you are having fun! I always love seeing the watercolor paintings from CTC in the Week in Reviews and can't wait to get to do them with my son.

Liz,

I'm so glad to hear that your daughter is enjoying the painting within CTC! My son loved it last year too. :D Actually, he has been busily painting for fun this year, after learning much about watercolor painting last year. :D I can't tell you how much better he has gotten at painting, just from the practice with the poetry. It's been amazing for me to watch him grow in his joy as an artist and to see it carry-over long after the "assignments" were done. :D Thanks for sharing! :D

Blessings,
Carrie
