Igniting your writing vs. Write with the best

What is the difference between these programs? Do you use this along with DITHOR and Rod and Staff 3? I'm trying to decide between the two of these for my oldest son who will be 4th grade doing DITHOR level 4/5 and Rod and Staff 3.
Has anyone used one of the programs and loved it? If so tell me why. Thanks in advance!

Which HOD guide are you using? Write With the Best is scheduled in the daily plans of CtC.

You're welcome. Although Write With the Best is scheduled in CtC, Igniting Your Writing is not scheduled in the HOD guides. But if you feel your son needed more writing instruction than Rod and Staff 3 and DITHOR 4/5 provide while he is using Bigger, you could add Igniting Your Writing. I think it is mainly offered as a choice for families who are using DITHOR but not using an HOD guide, or for older students using younger HOD guides with extensions. There is a thread here:

Wow, thank-you so much. I was really confused with the writing programs. They just seemed to be hanging there and I wasn't sure when or why to use them. Now, I think I'll just wait. We will be doing good to get in all of Bigger as it is with two little girl distractions!
