DOUBLE Box Day!!

Post by Heather4Him » Thu Mar 24, 2011 10:52 pm

We went a little "crazy" and bought Rev.2 Rev. WITH our RTR purchase for the upcoming year (thanks to tax refunds and HOD's wonderful "free shipping" coupon!) It will make next year's school purchases a lot less, thankfully!

So, today was a DOUBLE Box Day at our house!! The mail man brought a smaller package this morning with some of our Rev.2 Rev. materials in it. Then, later tonight, the UPS (love the "Brown Truck") brought a huge box with the rest of our RTR and Rev.2 Rev. packages!! Everything looks wonderful!! The notebook pages and Shakespeare notebooking pages are just beautiful! The Medieval Writing Lessons looks great, and the "Who is God?" book is gorgeous, too! It's all SO nice!!!!!!!!!! I can hardly wait to get started with the new school year (and next year, too!!)

I just thank the Lord for leading us to HOD to have an amazing high school experience! It's all I could've imagined and more!! :D

Wow! So awesome!!!!

I'm so glad God has blessed you with all of the materials! Now you don't have to think about when you are going to buy everything. :)

Have fun with all of the books! Can I bring my coffee over and have a look at those in a comfy chair??!! :) :)

There was a coupon code on the Rev.2 Rev preview email that gave free shipping if you bought the Rev.2 Rev. package with your order. That's why we did it, because my shipping would've been $35.95, too--plus, it would probably be that much next year, too--so my hubby said to save over $70. and just buy them both now. It was a good deal!! :)

Yes, this is exciting! We did RtR this year and it was wonderful. I'm sure you'll love it. Aren't the notebooking pages beautiful? When I got mine I did a happy dance around the living room that my ds has never forgotten. Actually, I did the same dance when I got CtC so I guess you could say it has become an annual event when I get my HOD box! I can't wait to get Rev2Rev also, but I'll have to be patient until at least June.
Enjoy!

Heather I would have done the same thing. HOD on my shelf is like money in the bank and peace on the shelf. I totally get where you are coming from on that. :D It's a sure thing. Enjoy your curriculum overload.

Thanks Everyone, and Water2Wine--I know what you mean! We figure since we're going to use it all for high school anyway, we might as well get it now while we can. It's a good feeling to know I have at least 9th and 10th grade pretty much covered! :)

Congratulations on your box day! I'm so jealous of all of you getting to use the new programs. We have a long way to go before we get there! But, we are loving LHFHG and looking forward to Beyond in the fall.

Don't feel too badly--I'm jealous of those who found HOD soon enough to use the younger programs! ;)

Heather,

I am so excited for your double box day! :D It's the same feeling I get when I walk through our warehouse and see all those wonderful books on our shelves that I know my children are reading already or will read in the future.

I am also reminded on your double box day that I am so thankful that I only write only one guide each year, as it gives me the opportunity to totally immerse myself in that guide and that time period for a whole year. :D There is no way I could write and plan more than a guide a year as it is simply too much to ponder and do! But, I am so glad when each guide is done and my next sons in line can just move on from guide to guide.

Gradually moving up with writing our new guide along with my older sons each year, also helps me keep our goals in mind and make sure the skills progress and build sequentially. :D So, I have a daily test group on hand which helps so much! I share this because the responsibility of writing can feel a bit overwhelming at times, but as my husband often says, "Just write the guides one year at a time!"

Thanks for sharing! You encouraged me so much today! :D

Blessings,
Carrie
