Hello to all! Currently I am using Rays arithmetic, along side Beyond, with my two oldest girls because I was reluctant to switch when everything seemed to be going well math wise. We also do Carrie's hands on math in the Beyond guide quite often, not every day but close to it, love these. My oldest dd will be going into fourth grade in September and this is the last year of Rays that has companion workbooks. After that I'm really not comfortable continuing Rays since there are no workbooks. My question is what age/ grade does Singapore go up to? I really do not want to keep switching. Also what are the math recommendations for middle and high school for HOD. If anyone is familiar with Rays do you think it would be a doable transition and should I do that now for both girls even though I could continue with Rays arithmetic through the fourth grade year? So, thanks in advance for any ideas.

I can't say whether you should switch or not, but if you are considering it, have your children take the placement test for Singapore Math. http://www.singaporemath.com/Placement_Test_s/86.htm Students newly switching to Singapore Math generally place one or more levels lower than the "grade". This is all right, as Singapore math is more advanced than most American math curricula. Heart of Dakota recommends Singapore Earlybird Kindergarten 2A/2B, then Primary US Edition 1A/1B through 6A/6B for elementary/middle school, then Discovering Mathematics for middle/high school, which is also from Singapore Math.
