As I'm looking at CTC, I see many ongoing projects. This is good! Where are you all putting these until we get back to them a day or more later? Curious on your project organization!

My reply probably won't be much help, as we only have one child (so not as much "stuff" to store), but basically we just put them on a corner of the kitchen counter or table. ;) Nothing has been too big or taken much time, so it hasn't been a problem.

My son has a shelf in the art cabinet to put his items.

We put ours up high on top of our bookcase to keep other little fingers and kitty from destroying them.

We put our projects on top of the fridge as long as the student is working on it to keep the project away from small hands! Once a project is complete, the kiddos either file it in their Student Notebook (if it is a flatter project), or take a picture of it (if it is a 3-D project) to place in their notebook. Then, 3-D projects are placed in a lidded storage tub to save. Each child has a lidded tub for this purpose at our house. When we get to the summer, my boys go through their tubs and choose what to save permanently in their tub for the next year. :D

Blessings,
Carrie

The lidded tub is a wonderful idea! I love it!

Right now, my older ds stores his work in his workboxes (they are like huge mail slots in a wooden shelf, so plenty of room). Right now, we are storing 3D projects in the empty workbox...but I love the lidded tub...especially as we move on to bigger projects in RTR next year.

I store them on the kitchen counter, but I see much more practical ideas are in this thread! :D I used to want my dh to see what was going on so much in our homeschool, leaving evidence of excellent learning taking place I guess. But now that he's an avid supporter of it, I do believe the projects are headed for the lidded tub or the top of the fridge or on a shelf... good ideas. After the 3 days (as each project is finished in 3 days that is), the cherished projects head upstairs to adorn the children's dressers, bedstands, bookshelves, and closets... I guess we are beginning an HOD museum here. In summer though, we clean house, and only the all-time favorites keep residence. :D Good question - and thanks ladies for the ideas! :)

In Christ,
Julie

That workbox idea is good too. I had thought of that, because I don't use them anymore, but some projects were too large to put in the box. But now that you mentioned it.....I still have the rack. That would make a great drying/project rack.
