Notebooking in Preparing

Post by wehoagies » Sat Mar 19, 2011 2:01 pm

Hi!

I see that Preparing offers notebooking assignments weekly in science. Are there history notebooking assignments? If so, how frequently do they occur?

I don't have the answer to your question, but I did want to let you know that question threads like this need to go in the Main Board so that people will see them. These topical boards are for sharing your personal experience with using the guides, not asking quesiton about them, and don't get very much traffic. I saw that you already reposted your other question about combining on the Main Board, which is great. Hopefully an admin will see your thread and move it to the Main Board, or you could just repost this one there as well. You will get plenty of responses there! :D

Andi,

I'm so glad that Deanna pointed you to the right place! I'll just move your post over to the Main Board so that more moms will see it! :D

Blessings,
Carrie

Yes, in Preparing the history notebooking assignments are in the Independent History Study box of the daily plans. There is a notebooking assignment just about every day in the form of drawing, copywork, or both. You can get an idea of what the assignments look like in the sample pages here: http://www.heartofdakota.com/pdf/PHFHG-sample-week.pdf
In addition, there are oral and written narrations scheduled in the Reading About History box.
