Needs for Singapore Math-- textbooks & workbooks?

Do I need just the workbooks or the textbooks also? Same question for Singapore math 3a/3b.

Little Hearts for His Glory has hands-on lessons written in the guide for Singapore Earlybird Kindergarten 2A and 2B. Beyond Little Hearts has hands-on lessons for Singapore Primary Math U.S. Edition 1A/1B and Bigger Hearts has hands-on lessons for Primary Math U.S. Edition 2A/2B. If you have these guides then you only need to purchase the workbooks (both A and B for each level), NOT the textbooks. From 3A on up, you do need the textbooks as well as the workbooks, because at that point the HOD guides have a daily schedule for both the textbooks and workbooks, but no more hands-on lessons. It is expected that by the time he has reached 3A, the child wouldn't need hands-on lessons anymore and can learn from the textbook lessons and workbook practice.
