Does anyone know how long it takes to do Beyond in a day?

It took us about 1-1.5 hours once we got on a roll. We did not do the music cd with school time, just whenever we were in the van, and things like math and spelling and poetry didn't take nearly as much time as I had expected. If you look at each box taking about 15 minutes you'll get about the max time it should take.

But, I did respond to your other thread about dd missing Beyond, and I still do think your 9 yo is doing just fine with Bigger. 4 guides are a bunch to begin with - and especially if the guides are all in a row - LHTH, LHFHG, Beyond, Bigger - I really do think somebody can be combined dear. And I do think your older 2 make sense to combine. BUT, you will definitely know best as you are the mama!

Don't worry, I'm taking your advice and keeping them where they are!! Thanks!! How do you find those posts? Whenever I search anything it says it's too common of a word. Some of your find things so quickly.

Oh good - not that you have to take my advice - but just that 3 guides will be very enjoyable for you with the ages of your dc! And I love nothing more than to think of moms happily homeschooling day to day. As far as the search engine, the board now has so many posts that many words are considered common. HOD's wonderful website designer is working on that, though his hands are very full with RevtoRev now! I can find things quickly because I've been on this board right from the start, and I can usually think of some kind of unique key words in past posts that help me look things up quickly. I have also saved my favorite links, and this one I gave you here is one of them. BUT, always, always, always just ask for a link rather than take precious time trying to find it. I like to help out this way, and it does not take me long - so don't expend any extra energy on it - just ask, ask away!

How do you save your favorite links? Into something else on your computer, or is there something on the board where you can do it? I've never been on boards before and am not a computer whiz.

I am sure there is a more savvy way, but I just have them copied into a word document. HTH!

If you scroll down to the bottom of a thread it will say bookmark post, just click on that, then you can find it in your user control panel. I just figured this out myself. Love it!!!

Beyond takes us 1- 1.5 hours a day. We do everything, as written and do not add to, or take away anything from, the actual guide (sometimes we do French or cursive that are not scheduled in Beyond, but I am not counting those in our time).
