I love it when that happens!

I'm combining my kids in Bigger, and the youngest is 7. She is doing quite well so far, with only a few trouble spots. One being, she doesn't like to narrate.

Sadly, we'll be finishing up Snow Treasure soon, and we're trying to decide our next read aloud. I was between Understood Betsy and Justin Morgan Had a Horse. We picked both. We're going to do the assignments with Understood Betsy, and read Justin Morgan in the evening. I read the first couple of chapters of Justin Morgan last night, and my 7 year old did an INCREDIBLE job of narrating the second chapter. I was thrilled!!! I just hugged and hugged my daughter. Then I hugged her some more.

Isn't progress sweet???

That is SO great! We're working on improving oral narration skills here, too, so I can appreciate your dd's success!! :)

Hooray - way to go! :D I'm so proud of your little one - and I loved to read about the hugging! :) :) :) Seems like a little thing, but boy do our dc need to know we notice their progress and accomplishments in school - and also - they need to know we LOVE them and LIKE being their teacher! I try to remind myself to say often to each of my dc that they are some of my very favorite people to be around, and how happy I feel to be their mom and also their teacher. Your dd is one lucky gal to have a loving, encouraging mama like you. Thanks for sharing! :D

In Christ,
Julie
