Emerging Readers Bible

Post by andi1234 » Thu Feb 24, 2011 9:08 pm

Hi Ladies! We are planning on starting Beyond in the fall but I have not been able to purchase the Beyond guide yet (still waiting on hubby to find a job.) My daughter will finish up The Reading Lesson this week so we went ahead and purchased the Early Reader's Bible for her to start on. She is so excited! She read 10 stories today! I was wondering how many pages are actually scheduled per day for this Bible in the back of the guide? I have a feeling, if she continues at this speed, I will have to purchase the other Bible soon! :D Not a bad problem to have!

Thank you very much for your help!

It looks like 6-7 pages. I'm pretty sure that includes picts, etc.

Day 1, 3-9.
Day 2, 11-17.
Day 3, 19-25.
Day 4, 27-33.
Day 5, 35-49.

We just started the emerging readers and the Bible is pretty much scheduled at one story a day. Every once in a while there are 2 stories scheduled together. We are planning to go through both Bibles though to add some time. Also, once you get your Beyond guide, Carrie has supplemental readers listed for each unit that you have been checking out from the library just for extra practice. DS loves having books that he can read by himself!

Thank you Stephanie! We are also planning on reading both Bibles to extend it a little. My plan was to have her read the first Bible now and during the summer and start the second Bible in the Fall. Not sure if that is going to work out! We may just have to start with next book on the list in the Fall. My daughter has just taken off with her reading! She doesn't even realize that she is reading birthday cards or things on signs that she was not able to before. It is really cool! I am just so happy that she loves to read so I plan to keep lots of reading material around for her. :D I can't wait to get the guide so I can see all the fun stuff we are going to do!

Thank you again!
