Is Pluto a planet again??

We are on BIGGER unit 8 day 2, and notebooking for science. My son is absolutely convinced that Pluto was recently reinstated to planet status... does anyone know if this is true?? I googled but coulnt tell what the most current info was? He doesnt want to move on until this puzzle is solved (AWESOME). So I told him that I would ask the lovely ladies here!! :D

It's considered a "dwarf planet" So yes and no! It's better than just an astroid but not quite planet status yet. HTH :D
