What are thoughts on any of the books in the Animal Ark series? For Mystery or Adventure in either storytime or Individual reading? I thought i heard or read someone once say they weren't good like the classic books. More of twaddle... i could be wrong.
anyone use them and like them?
Thanks
JEnn D.

We haven't used them as read alouds or for storytime, but my dd has read them as free reading and enjoyed them. My ds started trying to read one and didn't like it at all. He felt that it didn't have a very strong story or very much adventure. That might just be a typical boy response.

That doesn't tell you much about whether or not it is twaddle. Sorry

Hopefully though this will bump this up and someone else can tell you more.

Jenn,
Does your library have any of these you could preview first? I looked them up on Amazon as I have one on my bookshelf (I haven't read it yet) and wanted to get an idea of what they'll be like. Most of the reviews are ok, but there were a couple of reviews that made me

. I'll get back to you with my thoughts when I pre-read the title I have.
Do you have Carrie's list of book suggestions for DITHOR? I trust her many wonderful choices and if a book hasn't made her list and I'm not familiar with it, I definitely pre-read it before my son does.
