I know the guide is still in progress so I'm obviously not asking for exacts. :D I am just trying to plan our budget for 2011/12 school curriculum and was wondering if there were any ballpark figures for the Rev to Rev curriculum package. Thanks!

Smart gal, Sue! :D Planning ahead like that. I believe they are finalizing the package costs as I type this, so I know Carrie will be able to answer this very soon! :D

Sue, great minds think alike. I too was wondering so I could be budgeting our funds to purchase it in June for my son. Thanks for asking the question! I will anxiously await the answer too! :)

I'm hoping to get a sneak peek at the Convention in Valley Forge! :D Not sure if it will be available for preview then, but I'm hoping. LOL.

Ladies,

I have updated my post below to reflect new pricing as of February, as some items from the publishers have gone up, and we have also added one additional item to the Economy Package.

This is a good question! :D We will have the packages up in the next month or so on the website, but until then I believe it is safe to say that the Economy Package will be $378.25 (saving $63 off retail) (with the state study book included and a book about the signers of the Declaration included for research purposes). The package includes 19 items, 2 of which are choice items. Should you desire to purchase the Economy Package without the state study or signers research book it would instead be $329.35 (17 items) (saving $55 off retail). You will also have the option of purchasing the Economy Package with the state study and without the signers for $359.30 (17 items) (saving $59 off retail) or without the state study and with the signers for $349.30 (17 items) (saving $58 off retail). :D

The Science Package will have a choice of Option 1 or Option 2. Option 1 will be for students aged 11-13, and option 2 will be for students aged 14 on up. The only difference between the two option is that Option 1 includes a standard science kit and Option 2 includes an advanced science kit. Both options also include the 6 biographical books and notebook pages on the inventors. Option 1 will be $159.81 (saving $23.95 off retail). Option 2 will be $180.81 (saving $27.95 off retail). :D

The Basic Package will be $97.62 (saving $25.00 off retail) and includes 14 outstanding books. :D The Extension Pack will be $149.53 (saving $28.00 off retail) and includes 12 items, one of which is a set of DVD's. :D

The choices for Rev. to Rev. will include writing ($8.00), DITHR (Student Book 6/7/8 $33.95), Rod and Staff Grammar (varies depending on which level you choose), and math (varies depending on which level you choose). :D

That does it! Hope that helps in your planning. :D

Blessings,
Carrie

WOW! That is so great to know the prices and so excited to see it on the HOD site soon. I need a jumping up and down smilie. OK I am going to ask one question. Does the science kit have reagents or is it going to be one that can be recycled and used again. Just wondering because I know my oldest is going to beg to read the inventor's books on the side while doing biology and also thinking about the reuse down the road with kids hitting the program at different levels or people who might need both levels of science kit. May totally not be an issue but just wondering about that because for some reason I have to wonder about things like this.

water2wine,

Option 2 (with advanced kit) will include all items from the standard kit (for 3 days a week) plus the items needed to do the two additional days each week required for kiddos aged 14 on up. So, families who have children ages 11-13 and ages 14 on up using the kit will be able to use the Advanced Kit for both levels of students and just add on an intermediate logbook for each younger student (as the advanced kit contains an advanced logbook for the older students). :D However, this would mean that the kiddos would need to share the same models as only one model of each type will be built for all the students to use for the experiments. The publisher does intend for families to have to purchase only one kit per family, as the children could each take a turn using the model to complete their logbook. :D

For future students once the initial kit has been purchased, the logbooks are consumable. The models once built could be saved and reused, or there are replacement kits that can be purchased (which is likely a better option). The CD can be reused, and the Teacher's Manual can be reused. The Standard Version Replacement Kit (including logbook) is $89.95. The Advanced Version Replacement Kit (including logbook) is $99.95. :D

Blessings,
Carrie
