New Here/I am SO EXCITED!

Hi mamas! I have been lurking for several months, researching other curricula, and even other CM-based curricula. We came to this as a family after my hubby encouraged me to satisfy my curiosity and purchase LHTH for my DS. I have since bought LHTH for DS20mos and LHFHG for my DD4.5. I work right now as a Christian schoolteacher, but know that this is temporary, and still feel the desire to supplement my children's edification with Scripture and Christian worldview objectives.
I just am so excited. Thanks everyone for feedback on how to start with DD. She's not quite 5, but skill-wise I think she ties in better with LHFHG. We'll jump to LHTH if it seems too much, or just do the right side for a while till she is able to do it all. Probably half-speed for K and then once again for 1st.
DS will just love it. The other curriculum I was pondering was heavy on reading, light on hands-on activities. One thing that sold me on this is that Carrie has four boys, so I know she understands how to work with bursting, boisterous joy-filled boys!!!
