Dictation Celebration!

Post by moedertje » Tue Jan 11, 2011 10:48 pm

I had to share that ds was thrilled today that he finished his last dictation passage for level 2 :D :D :D He did fantastic, messed up only on 16 passages, mostly in the beginning when he reversed letters and was learning how to study. His handwriting is much better now and his study habits have gotten better. Ds is excited to start the next level and get his new notebook. Thank you Carrie and Julie for the encouragement and teaching in the many posts on how dictation should be done and how to teach them!!
To celebrate we went for ice cream :D :D :D

Way to go - he really did well with his dictation! :D :D :D That is a milestone definitely worth noting. It's c-c-c-cold here, but I'd still have loved to had ice cream with you to celebrate. I'm so glad he finished and is excited to move on to Level 3 - he earned it. Give him a big HOD hug from me! :D

I'm so glad to hear this and am celebrating with you! :D It is amazing how much kiddos progress in one level of dictation, isn't it!? :D Your little guy should be very proud. Ice cream is a fabulous way to celebrate.

Blessings,
Carrie
