LHFHG supply list

We are just kicking off LHFHG. If anyone has a supply list of items that they use for this curriculum I would very much appreciate it. I do a once a year art/craft/school supply purchase and getting the main staples at one time. It just makes life so much easier rather than searching around for random things. Thank you for your help.

If you already have the standard art supplies in your home, you'll be ready for LHFHG.
We used paint, watercolors, crayons, markers, colored pencils, glue, tape, scissors, white paper, construction paper, etc. when we went through LHFHG last year. Sometimes there are other materials used (for science & history activities) but most of them are normal household/pantry items and can be easily swapped for something else if you don't have the exact item suggested in the guide. I try to look at the unit/days a week ahead so I can pick up anything I might need that we don't normally have in our home the day I do our shopping.

For those who have completed LHFHG or atleast halfway through are their any unique items needed for the science and history projects? Anything for baking?
Thank you for your help,
Christina

I would like to know this, too, since I only do a shopping trip every 6 weeks over here. I thought there was a list someone had posted not too long ago?

I don't have the LHFHG guide in front of me so this is off the top my head, but I remember using lots of "normal" household/kitchen pantry items...
flashlight
masking tape
peanut butter/sunbutter works just as well for the projects (if you have peanut allergies in your home like ours)
pretzels
cocoa powder
cinnamon
lemon juice
salt
sugar
Cheerios
foil
ziploc bags (sandwich & gallon sizes)
wax paper
toothpicks
white vinegar
food coloring (Wilton gel colors work fine, too
)
cornmeal
raisins
eggs
flour, sugar, milk, baking soda, etc. for a bread-baking project (it's unit 13 or 14 - sorry I can't remember exactly)
various containers (plastic with lids, 9x9 or 9x13 pan, pouring containers)
measuring cups & spoons
spatula

We're using LHFHG and we haven't needed anything that I didn't already have on hand or couldn't substitute with something else very easily. There are a couple of baking things - I know we made bread a couple of weeks ago - but it was basic pantry ingredients. If you cook or bake normally at home you would probably have most of the items that are needed. I did just think of one thing I never have when we need it - food coloring. I keep meaning to pick some up when I'm at the store but then forget about it when I'm actually there.

thank you very much jer2911mom and creativemommy this is exactly what I needed. Copying and pasting to ord and going to make my way to the store. This was very helpful considering the nearest Walmart or Michaels is over 30 minutes away.
Thank you again,
Christina
P.S. If anyone else thinks of something else please let me know.
