John Audubon/migration map (Unit 10 Day 2)

We are confused about the science instruction. It says we learned in Audubon's book that the swallows migrated from France to Haiti. I don't remember any mention of France. It mentions the swallows moving from Haiti to their summer home in North America. So is this correct that he should make a map showing their migration from France to Haiti?
Thanks.

I just looked this up in my son's notebook and he copied a migration flight from another bird that was found in One Small Square Woods. You can do either one, which ever is easier for your child.

Thank you. I do understand the alternate assignment, but I am curious if there was an error in the TM about France.

I'm not sure if its a typo..
but swallows do migrate from Hati to North America
and British swallows migrate from South Africa to England Via France. Which is why Jean/John sees them again.
does that help? We also just used he small square book for our map.

Also wondering about this. I can't even find online any migration maps of swallows from France to Haiti or vice versa. It's all north america. I know we can do the map in Woods, but was just wondering what to tell DD about the assignment.
