Shannon,

This is one of the books I remember so fondly from my childhood! The author is the same one who wrote Caddie Woodlawn, and she is a terrific author (Carol Ryrie Brink)! :D My BOYS have each loved Baby Island too. My oldest son is such a "man's man", yet this was one of his favorite books! :D

Thanks for sharing! :D

Blessings,
Carrie

My ds 8 also LOVED this book! It's definitely not just a girly girl book! My kids were hoping that there was a movie too.

This was one of my favorite books when I was a child. When my Bigger order came, I had to read that one immediately. Can't wait to read it now with my chidlren.

My boys loved "Baby Island" too, and I was somewhat surprised. I knew I would love it, but I wasn't sure if my boys would, as they are quite rough and tumble in general, and I thought the title of this book might give them a predisposition for thinking it was more for girls. I was so wrong! They both loved it - in fact, it's flip-flopping between their rooms at book time at night I see.
