My dd is in Beyond and we just finished up chapter 20!! She was so proud of herself. After a rough and rocky start last year we made great progress this year. I'm so glad I slowed down and went with her. One of the great benefits to homeschooling!

My question is after finishing the phonics program have you jumped right into the emerging readers set? Has anyone not used those readers and done something on their own? I haven't purchased them yet b/c at the beginning of the year I wasn't sure how fast we'd move through The Reading Lesson.

Congratulations! We are in chapter 20 right now and I plan on moving into the emerging readers with the easiest Bible (can't remember the name right now).

Yeah, congrats! I remember when we finished the TRL, we were so excited too. :) We did just jump right into the emerging readers starting with the Early Reader's Bible. It went great and was a smooth transition. :)

The emergent readers are really good! My ds is doing them along with some of the supplementary titles, because he read most of the early ones last year before we started HOD. He is really enjoying all of them.
