Hello everyone,

Its been awhile since I visited the board. Our first year with LHTH went awesome we will be winding it up by the end of December. I plan on beginning LHFHG for my 5yo in January and restarting LHTH with my 4 yo. Does anyone have a reccomendation on how to do a schedule for these two? I do not think I will be able to do them completely seperate , as I have 8 month old as well. Ive seen that some use just the right side of LHFHG combined with LHTH, would this be ok? Im just unsure on how to do it. Does anyone have a schedule for a LHFHG little one so I can see how there day goes?

Thank you first year hs mom,
Christina

Oh i think you could do them separate. When you say right side of LHFHG and LHTH do you mean LHFHG for the 5yrold and jsut the LHTH for the 4yr old?
Last year i had my son in LHFHG and my daughter in LHTH. LHTH is so short it doesn't take any time at all.
Our 3rd child was 1.5yr old last year when i started both of these guides.
I would say try it first ...ease into it. Usually doing the LHTH guide first helped.

Hi Christina! :D I'm glad you had a great year with Little Hands to Heaven (LHTH)! We are enjoying it the third time right now with our third ds, and it's still fun. LHTH is super short! I wouldn't worry one bit about doing LHTH and LHFHG. But, are you thinking you want to combine your 4 and 5 yo dc? When you look at the placement chart, where does your 5 yo seem to place?

With your 2 dc being so close in age, you really could combine them unless your 5 yo is just way, way ahead of your younger child. Which resources did you use with LHTH? If you used the younger ones, you could use the older ones this time, and have your 5 yo do the Kindergarten fine motor skills options, math options, and phonics with your 5 yo along with using LHTH as your core program. We can chat through this here if you want - just keep asking away and sharing. :D
