Hi Ladies,

Just wanted to ask for prayer for our little Ezra. He got hit in the side of the head with a softball Monday night at my older son's game by two girls that were playing catch too close to the bleachers. It did not hit him directly, thank God, but after we got him to the ER they did a CT scan that showed slight bruising and bleeding on his brain, so they rushed him (flew in a chopper) to the children's hospital about 30 min. away. He never passed out or anything, but they wanted to monitor him overnight and make sure things didn't get any worse and he didn't start vomiting, have seizures, etc. We were released late yesterday afternoon and he is expected to make a full recovery, praise God! No side effects so far and he is eating and sleeping pretty well overall, except today he hasn't eaten nearly as well as yesterday. That has been something I have struggled with worrying about today. Trying to give it over to God and leave it all in His Hands.

I would appreciate your thoughts and prayers -- that he would continue to do really well and there would be no side effects at all. It's so easy for me to get worried at this point over every little thing. We are VERY thankful to God for the outcome -- it could have been so much worse!

Oh how scary! I actually know of a child who was killed by being hit by a baseball during a game. Your son is so very lucky! I will pray for his continued healing and that he will continue to show his momma that he is getting better!

I think that him not eating as well may just be a sign of his healing. I am not a doctor, but I know that when your body starts to heal, sometimes is uses all it has to do the work. Maybe this is the case and he will start back to eating well again tomorrow!

Oh my, Jessica! Praying for you and little Ezra right now! So glad that everything looks like it will be fine, but I'm sure I would be right there with you worrying about every little thing (and reminding myself to trust God!).

Oh, I know the worrying. My oldest just finally got better after 2 months with a concussion. She didn't eat much for a while either, but she slept and slept and slept. It is scary, but God is with you and him and he will give you guys the strength to get through this!

Praying for your little guy and his mommy. We have had our fair share of ER visits, children's hospitals and ambulance rides (especially considering I have healthy children!). I understand, all too well, the Mommy worry so I will continue to remember you in prayer.

I'm praying for the Lord to heal your little Ezra! I am also praying for you, as I know how we as mothers worry over our precious dc so, and yet we do try our very best to leave it in the Lord's capable hands.

Praying for Ezra today.

Praying for your ds and his momma! I know it's sometimes hard to differentiate between something that's a real concern or just a plain old worry.

Just prayed with my husband for you. We will keep you and your little Ezra lifted up in prayer. May the Lord Himself be your peace and surround you with His Presence. May He, the Great Physician, heal Ezra completely!

((((HUGS)))) for you and prayers for continued healing for Ezra. As a mom who has lost a child, I know all too well the worry and panic. My husband and children now know to be very careful me because I just cannot deal well with a scare. Fear became a reality for me, a totally different situation, but just want you to know you are not alone in the fear, but do remember to take it to God.. I have to quote 2Timothy 1:7 "For the Lord has not given me a spirit of fear, but a spirit of power and of love and of sound mind." You are probably doing great now, but I love that scripture and it has been my comfort in many a situations. Keep us updated as to how Ezra is doing, bet he will be eating great and up and being all boy soon! (((HUGS)))

Oh my I am just seeing this. I know how scary this type of thing is. Just want to praise your faith in the Lord. I know He will reward you for it. He has made your little baby even knowing this would be. Praying for His healing hand and for a peace for you and your family. I had an accident with one of my little babies and I know how absolutely beside myself I was. I am so sorry you had to go through this. Knowing God is faithful and He will care for your little guy. God has made a wonderful little package in babies. They heal so well. Praying you will soon see and know the Lord's healing in your little precious baby.
