I am a little confused about this.

When I looked on the site, I thought this was ONLY for INDEPENDENT readers (which I don't have).

I have 2 emerging readers. My older one is getting there, but is still in remedial reading. He reads almost at grade level but has 0 comprehension.

Can someone please explain this and tell me if we need it?

I know I sure would love anything that increases comprehension!

Hi-the Book Projects books are optional, and are meant to be used with Drawn into the Heart of Reading at the end of each genre study, so if your kids are still emerging readers, you don't need them. The grade 2 Project book is used with Drawn into the Heart of Reading level 2/3.
