I've been admiring all of the watercolor paintings in the Weeks in review and am curious as to when we get to start this. I have one extremely artsy dd and I'm not quite sure how to teach/direct her. Particularly the poetry with watercolor paintings. Thanks

You do the watercolor paintings along with a study of Robert Frost's poetry in CTC. In Preparing and CTC you use Draw and Write through History which is great for artsy and non-artsy kids alike. It gives step by step drawing instruction.

Gina,
I hope they will be a blessing for your family too! We have enjoyed these artsy areas and seen tremendous growth through them with our boys as well!
Blessings,
Carrie

This is my and my son's favorite part of CTC. I am sure you will enjoy this so much! The directions are right there in the guide, so your dd can either do the work alone, or you can do it along with her as you feel led. My son and I do the paintings together as he likes for me to model the finished copy before he finishes.

I am SOOOO glad someone posted about this. I think we've been missing the fruit of this exercise. Now, that I've seen what others have accomplished I'll have to give some thought to our execution of this.
