May He give YOU PEACE!!

Post by blessedmama » Wed Sep 29, 2010 12:01 pm

To all of us homeschooling families...this is a very stressfull time of the year. We have new curriculum to sort out, we are trying to make it all fit in to our schedules, we worry that our blessed children will not know what they need to at a certain time. To all of us I give you, rather the Lord gives you, this...

May the Lord bless and keep you, may His face shine upon you, may He always be with you and give you PEACE.

This peace can ONLY come from Him. It is a peace that transcends all understanding. It is the peace of our SAVIOR.

So, everyone... 1)take a deep breath 2)smile 3)cry because you just realized how much you are loved by the Lord 4)hug your preciouse babes the Lord has given you 5)remember that life is not all academics, it is a gift from God and in the end Jesus is all that matters.

Now I need to go do those things as well. So have a blessed day in the Lord my friends and may He give you His peace.

blessedmama,
Thank you for that reminder. Jesus is all that matters. Some days it seems I am just going through the motions of homeschooling. Yes, dd seems to be taking in what really matters, but when we're finished, I wonder how much she is really taking to heart. I have to just leave that with Him. There is still 'sorting out' going on here. I have some special 'extra' things I want to do with dd, but I feel like I've neglected those things and allow her too much idle time. But, on the other hand, if I spend all my time 'doing' with her, other things get neglected. So, I'm trying to find that balance.

We have a new baby soon coming through the prison ministry and I have so much to get done. Please pray that I can structure my time wisely.
I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth. III John 4

Thank you for sharing! With a new pg, a preschooler, & toddler, somedays I feel like we are just trying to get through school! I told DH the other day, we got school done but then I am exhausted and feel like I got nothing else done all day..... I am sure it will be even more crazy with a newborn in the mix!

blessedmama,

What a wonderful reminder this was to me today that the Lord is in control and He is a God of order and of peace. Thank you for the encouragement and for the reminder to lay our burdens at His feet and drink in His peace! :D Often when the days are too full and there is more to do than there is time, it can feel as if we're not progressing and getting everything done. But our plans are not the Lord's plans, and He knows what He desires for us to accomplish each day. So, if I lay my head down at night knowing I sought His will for the day, whatever was accomplished is enough. :D

Blessings,
Carrie
