The founder of Answers in Genesis and the one responsible for the new Creation Museum in Petersburg, Kentucky. It was great to hear him talk about the scientific evidence for a Creator, and really gears me up for studying with my kids next school year with Preparing. It was great for my son, who accompanied me, and is currently studying evolution in his high school biology class at a public school. My son had some great answers to some of the stuff the teacher taught last week, but now he's got even more :) I bought a set of 7 books  and my son already finished one :!: It was an awesome opportunity :D

My neighbor called me to tell me to go and I missed the call on Sunday. Uh! But I have watched him many times on TV. We have some of their materials and have loved everything. I love what he has to say on one race. It made so much sense to me. He also has some things to say about world view that really make sense in helping children keep their faith in College.

Great job for your son telling the teacher the way it is on evolution! That is a wonderful witness to the teacher and to the students! You should be very proud! 8)

Well do tell what books did you buy? And W2W, when was he on tv? Is he usually on a certain channel?

Now see, you would just have to keep me out of the book store!! We had already went on vacation (The Holy Land Tours and Passion Play) last year when they had opened up the Museum . When I told dh about it he was trying to figure out how to go on a second vacation! A few days ago he said that the one place he wanted to go before he dies is the Creation Museum!! I figure if we get the money were headed to KY!! We have some of Ken's tapes a friend sent me, and we have a couple books. I really like him and Kent Hovind. Too bad they don't see eye to eye. I can't wait to add dinos to Hannah's lessons when we get there! Creation lessons are a ways off for her 'cept for reading Genisis. Oh how I love the story of Creation!! Mr Ham came within a 6 hour drive from here, but I couldn't swing the motel fee I would have to have, so we missed him. Tape are good though! :D

I've been eyeing many of those myself! I'll have to go check them out again. I'm in need of a good read.

annaz- He is on Friday nights at 10 PM. I believe it is Faith TV Sky Angel Channel 9702. I am hoping it will be on the Family Christian channels for DISH as well. But hunt around you may find him elsewhere as well.

Was just thinking about this. AIG talks are part of why HOD was a decision for us. The evolutionary content in other curriculum knocked them out for us. He has some very convincing arguments about why 70% of believing children loose their faith in college and it starts now with what we teach them young. It is too late in the teenage years. I mean with God it is never too late but as a parent teaching, it's really too late. They need to throughly understand Creation before then. The have to understand that God is in control of world events through History and that God created Science for us to enjoy and see His glory and that all of that is to point to Him and bring us to worship Him. Gotta say love that in LHFHG even my little ones are getting the God's word is the absolutely truth and Creation is six days by the hand of God only, that science is only because of God and to descover God's greatness, and that history is only for us to see the need for God in our lives and the result without Him. 8) What we teach now really matters! Love that HOD gets that. It's so important!
