We are just having the BEST days with CTC! This week, we started Boy of the Pyramids, and both my son and I are just spellbound reading it! We also did the air dry clay foot tracks and had a ball. My son picked up the dog and cat and we made their tracks in the clay too. I just have to brag on how wonderful our year is going with CTC. Every week gives us something new to use and enjoy.

LOL I won't say that the dog and cat enjoyed it as much as we did. Hehe - Blue Kitty is still licking his paw like we did something awful to him. Rosco looked at me like I was bonkers and the attempted to nibble on the clay (which gave us all another good laugh). We should have done the bunnies' and chickens' feet too! Darn!

We are also enjoying CTC. It took a few weeks to get in a groove, but now we are there and he is able to really enjoy the books. I am going to steal your idea and do the foot prints of the cat and dog in our clay this week. My ds loves the Land Animals book. I have been surprised how much he enjoys "The Golden Bull". I had read a few negative things about it on another board, but I find it to be a good book to show the Pagan world that Abraham lived in and we have had some good discussions with it. The Boy of the Pyramids looks really good also and I can't wait to start it.

Rebecca, what week are you on in CTC? I think we are right behind you a few weeks (on week 5). We are also enjoying it a lot!

We started Unit 6 today. We are a little off in our lessons (as in having them match up to the day of the week) due to missing a few days here and there.

I'm so glad to hear that you are enjoying CTC! I laughed outright at the thought of your imprinting the cat's and dog's paws as fossils! How cute. We loved Boy of the Pyramids here too.
