DITHOR - a huge hit

I am so thankful for DITHOR. This is our first time using the guide, and I have to say my husband and I are very impressed. My daughter is a speed reader, and this program has challenged her to slow down and really "savor" a book. My daughter even enjoyed doing her vocabulary sheets yesterday.

. Best of all, she is learning to make Bible application to the story line. I just had to give a deep sigh of relief. It's all starting to come together.
Thank you, Carrie.

I am so glad to hear this! We have found that our boys have made terrific strides in applying the story elements, discussing the plots, comprehending what was read, and analyzing literature along with weighing the book's content against the Bible and its standards. Best of all our kiddos are learning to read with discernment through DITHR!
I agree that slower, more thoughtful reading definitely has its place of importance. Yet, blessedly DITHR does not thwart that love of devouring books either, as all of our boys (so far) are avid readers. We pray DITHR may continue to bless your family as you use it this year!
Thanks for sharing!

Wonderful! I just got this book to work with my ds. He is a speed reader as well and many times cannot relate his narration well. I'm hopeful for good results using DITHOR.

My ds had that same challenge of always speed-reading books, and still does sometimes with his books in his room!

But, DITHOR was a welcome change of pace for him. He really has learned to savor books by lingering with them longer, as you said you've seen with your dd too. DITHOR books are always the favorites of his when I ask him. I'm so glad your dd is growing with DITHOR - what a joy to for you and your dh to see!
In Christ,
Julie
