Today was our 1st day to dive back into school since the addition of Asa to our family...and it went really well! I am SO thankful for how easy HOD is to pick up and use, once again. We had a pretty busy weekend (as in I didn't get as many naps as I could have welcomed... ), so I wasn't sure if jumping in today was the best idea. But, I decided to just go for it, and I am so glad that it looks like we'll be able to pick up where we were 2 1/2 weeks ago and sail on with our year. Whew! Asa is an "along-for-the-ride" little guy that is content & happy almost always - so I know that's helping our transition immensely! (And I've had the other end of the spectrum - so I know what I'm being thankful for! )

Here is "Mr. Sweet Eyes" (as Garret has named him), all ready for LHTH with us.

...so I'm going to go catch a nap, too, before supper.

Starting school 2.5 weeks after baby is born is something I can only hope to achieve. Way to go!! But I agree, HOD is just so well planned that it makes it (almost) easy.

I wish we'd used HOD last year when my DD was born...it would have saved me so much stress and trouble! I can relate to starting school at 2 weeks...my kids need to be kept busy!

YAY! Glad you had a great first day back, Kathleen! Yesterday was a rough, rough day for all of us -- way too busy with stuff out of the house also, which didn't help. Today is going much smoother so far, praise God! Kids are having their recess now. Hoping your day today is going great too!

Asa is precious! I love baby pics! They remind me of my own sweet boys as infants!

Congratulations on starting back. I know I was always relieved to actually have the baby arrive and try to get back into some sort of routine.

What a beautiful treasure! How exciting and brave...to jump back in to school 2.5 weeks after giving birth. Blessings to your week..and may God multiply your rest.

What a handsome boy! I am so proud of you for jumping back into school. That can be tough to do, but it's one of those things that once you start, it's just the new "normal" for the day. God bless your little Asa - he's precious!
